biography To say that Matthew Dylan Powers was an unexpected surprise would have been an understatement. His parents, Jonathan Powers and Senator Cynthia Powers, had the perfect family. Two sons were all they had planned for, so when they realized they were about to have a third, their entire world came crashing down. Matt knew from an early age that he was a mistake, unwanted, and every other adjective that one might think of to describe an accidental conception. His older brother, now the middle child, made sure to tell him on a daily basis.

His parents weren't subtle in their favoring of Jonathan either. Matt heard stories in school of how middle children tended to be overlooked or forgotten, and those stories made him laugh. In his own experience, that was not how it worked, so he couldn't fathom that what was happening in the Powers home wasn't normal. All the same, he could at least take comfort in having his eldest sibling, Drew, to confide in. Both overlooked and neglected in favor of their brother, they became close despite their four year age difference. Without Drew, Matt might not have survived the demanding life that came with being the son of a New York Senator and her tycoon husband.

Life was bearable with Drew around. Once the older Powers finally went off to college, things took a turn for the worse. Jon focused all of his energy on making his little brother's life a living hell, to the point he considered running away. Without his brother to confide in, all Matt could do to keep sane was think of the most creative ways to piss his family off. He was constantly in trouble at school, whether it be from getting into fights or jury rigging electronics as booby traps. In his pranking, he discovered he was adept with electronics; by the time he graduated high school, he could rewire nearly any applliance set in front of him.

Because of the family's status, Matt was expected to follow in one of his parents' footsteps and do something great with his life. While his parents turned their noses up at his chosen career path – electrical engineering – they respected the amount of money it would earn their son. Of course, it was nowhere near as prestigious as they would have hoped, but his mother made sure to remind him that there was little he could do to disappoint them further.

Little did she know, she was wrong.

It didn't take long for Matt to realize college wasn't for him. Because of his natural skill level, he felt bored in class and that being there was a waste of time. So eventually, without telling his parents, he stopped going and started working instead. In working odd jobs as an electrician, he found his way to the city of Boston, where it just so happened his older brother was living. After the move, he severed his ties with the rest of the Powers family.

Somehow, working as an electrician led him to more secretive work. On a late night repair job, he stumbled across a murder. His quick thinking to help the murderer hide the mess to save his own skin not only saved his life but opened the door for a new, better paying opportunity. It turned out that the person he helped was high up in the ranks of the city's criminal element. He came a sort of mentor for Matt, who became his go-to fixer; eventually, he began helping him run cons. It wasn't exactly what he pictured himself doing, but it turned out he was damn good at it. It didn't hurt that his mentor's daughter became his partner in crime, either. The two spent years working together on a professional level before dating later on, for about a year and a half.

His work as an electrician helped him keep his cover and get into places that others couldn't. He was able to make a decent living at this, with only his brother aware of his second job. He eventually became respectable enough to gain other clients, ranging from politicians to business owners. In the twelve years he's been doing this, he's earned a reputation as one of the most loyal and trusted guys in Boston. If someone has a crime to hide, he'll help do it – for the right price. Even a year sabbatical hasn't tarnished his reputation.
electro basic information
Maxwell Dillon was born in Endicott, New York, the son of Jonathan and Anita Dillon. His father was often fired from jobs making them move a lot. One day his father walked out on them and his mother became overprotective. When he wanted to leave home to go to college, his mother was against the idea and told him if he was interested in learning about electricity that he should work for the local electric company. His mother died when Dillon was twenty-four while he was working at the electric company. There he became one of the best linemen, and met co-worker Norma Lynn, whom he later married. Lynn left him when she realized he wasn't ambitious enough to become an engineer and he stayed a lineman

One day another lineman got in trouble and Dillon agreed to save him, for a fee. In the process he gained super powers when he was struck by lightning while in contact with power lines still connected to their spool. The unusually configured magnetic field generated by the wound spool of cable and live, high-tension wires induced a body-wide mutagenic change to his nervous system. Dillon found himself transformed into a living electrical capacitor, powered by the micro-fine rhythmic muscle contractions that normally regulate body temperature.

Generally, Dillon's criminal actions were governed by his selfish love of money. Adopting the gaudy garb of a so-called super-villain, the deranged Dillon sought to use his newfound power for personal gain. Electro's first and most frequent nemesis was the wisecracking, web-slinging super hero known as Spider-Man. The Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson was convinced that Spider-Man and Electro were the same man, until Spidey defeated Electro by wearing rubber gloves and shoes.[1] He next battled Daredevil when he attempted to break in the Baxter Building, headquarters of the Fantastic Four ...
